Download an Instagram Reel
Copy the link from the share sheet, not from the address bar of the app, and paste it whole. Instagram links carry a short post code that is the only part that matters.
The saved file is the same MP4 Instagram plays, with the sound kept. No watermark is added; a watermark from TikTok or elsewhere in the original picture stays, because it is in the frame.
Download a post or a whole carousel
A carousel is one post holding several pictures and videos. All of them come from the same link, so you do not have to open each slide.
Photos come at the size Instagram stores, which is usually larger than what you see on screen.
Download a profile picture
Instagram shows the avatar small everywhere, but it keeps a bigger copy. Pasting a profile link gives you that bigger copy instead of a blurry crop from a screenshot.

What will not work
- Private accounts. If you must be a follower to see it, the post is out of reach.
- Close Friends stories, which are limited to a list you are not on.
- Stories after twenty-four hours, and Highlights removed by the owner.
- Posts taken down while you were copying the link.
