Download a video from a Threads post
Use the link from the share menu. It looks like a profile name followed by /post/ and a short code, and that code is what identifies the post.
Threads reuses the Instagram media system, so what you save is the same MP4 with sound that the app plays.
Download images from a Threads post
A post can hold several pictures. They all come from the same link, at the size Threads stores rather than the size shown in the feed.
Posts that quote another post
When a post quotes another one, there are two sets of media on the page. The one attached to the post you linked is the one you get; to take the quoted media, open the quoted post and use its own link.

What will not work
- Private profiles. Threads follows the privacy setting of the linked Instagram account.
- Posts deleted or hidden after you copied the link.
- Media inside a reply you cannot see because the thread is limited.
